V.LIF

I recently had a facelift and eye lift performed by Dr. Shim at VLIF clinic in South Korea, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I am 56 years old, and I have been noticing the gradually deepened nasolabial folds, marionette lines, jowls, and all the little fine lines under my eyes as well as sagging muscles down my jaws and neck area. They made me look sad and tired, and each time I looked at myself in the mirror I consciously pulled my skin on both sides of my temples to get some temporary pleasure of what I could potentially look like without these lines. I didn’t want fillers as they are temporary and don’t give you the natural/healthy look. I began to do my research and actually went for a couple of consultations in the US, and in the process I learned that South Korea is well known for cosmetic surgeries and provide the best aftercare. I did a few consultations with different clinics in South Korea, but in the end I chose VLIF clinic! The important point for me about VLIF clinic is that they only focus on the facial procedures and facelifts! Not only that, but I saw the Utube video of Dr. Shim doing the facelift on his own mother and she became his model! This tells me that he is not only a skillful surgeon, but he is confident in his work and conscientious enough to personally took care of his mother through the whole recovery process! Dr. Shim and his team provided top-notch care throughout the entire process for me. The consultation was thorough, and Dr. Shim took the time to address all my concerns and expectations.

The surgery itself went smoothly, and the results exceeded my expectations. I now look years younger, and my confidence has skyrocketed. The recovery process was well-managed, with attentive follow-up appointments to ensure everything was healing properly. The one notable difference in the aftercare at VLIF is that they wash your hair with antibiotic shampoo after dressings are removed, and place you under infrared red laser therapy as well as infusing de-swelling medications every other day for three sessions after surgery. They don’t do this in the US!

The facility at VLIF clinic is modern and immaculate, making me feel comfortable and safe. Dr. Shim’s expertise and skill are truly remarkable, and his dedication to patient satisfaction is evident.

This was my first trip to South Korea, and especially one in which I took a chance in placing my face under the hands of a plastic surgeon! Needless to say, I was super nervous and skeptical of my decision! But Bella…Bella just made everything so easy!!! Bella is my English consultant as I don’t speak Korean. She and her associate Amy were at my side the whole time I was in the clinic, and I am so thankful to her! She is beautiful, sweet, patient, resourceful, and super helpful! She arranged everything from A to Z and walked me through everything!

I highly recommend Dr. Shim and the VLIF clinic to anyone considering facial rejuvenation procedures. This experience has been life-changing, and I can confidently give it a well-deserved 5-star rating!
