FACELIFT Get to know V.LIF’s SMAS lift

In this process, unnecessary fats will be removed by liposuction, and the redundant SMAS layer after the whole face has been elevated will be repositioned to the sunken areas of the face, making a more youthful appearance. What is the range of dissection? - V.LIF’s facelift dissection is very wide, so the retaining ligaments as well as the SMAS layer are properly cut off. We perform a very safe and accurate surgery by lifting up the zygoma area, nasolabial folds, buccal fats and neck wrinkles to bring out the best result. What method is used for facelift? - V.LIF surgeons do not perform the same facelift to every patient. Depending on each individual skin type, we decide the method – high SMAS, extended SMAS, deep plane or dual plane for the best result. Definitely, we do not focus on just one method. Where is the incision? - The incision line is along the ear-line, but the final plan will be decided depending on each individual’s sideburns, skin thickness, pore size and etc. How much pain will be experienced after the surgery? - Usually there is not much pain, just some discomforts depending on individual. In most cases, it subsides if you take some pain killers, but for some, it won’t be necessary at all. How long will the result last for? - In most cases, the result will last for about 10 years depending on each individual. In addition, the surgery itself will take about 3 hours to perform depending on the amount of work.
