I am sharing my first plastic surgery experience. I was looking for a refreshed look after realizing that time had passed. I had a face and neck lift, plastysmaplication, and undereye fat repositioning at V.LIF four months ago. Consultants Bella and Amy along with Dr. Shim and other staff took care of me. Their knowledge and support helped ease my anxiety as a plastic surgery newbie. I am happy with my results and look forward to going back for other services now that I know V.LIF takes good care of me.

Why I chose V.LIF

• The diagnosis was clear and the proposed procedure made sense. I interviewed 10 plastic surgery clinics. Only 2 told me that I need to dissolve my fillers before the procedures (which makes more sense!). I ended up choosing V.LIF between the two based on feedback on their skills. This was proven when Dr. Shim dissolved my fillers and the staff gave me an anti-allergy shot and these were quick and I hardly felt them.
• There is always someone to support me. Bella was my translator since day 1 and provided me with clear information and answered many questions. She also translated real time whenever Dr. Shim met me in person. Dr. Shim understands English well and sometimes responded to my questions directly.

The process, results

• Dr. Shim is skillful. After dissolving the fillers, based on the results Dr. Shim told me that he would perform an undereye fat repositioning vs. a lower blepharoplasty because I do not need the latter (“still young!”) . My undereye areas now look natural. I only need a thin layer of foundation as make-up for work. Better yet, I have had 0 pain for all the procedures done.
• Post-procedure care was great. There were 3 appointments: Two days after the procedure, I went in for blood drain removal. Dr. Shim performed the care and made sure that the stitches look good. The staff also gave me a shampooing service and a de-swelling treatment. Then on day 3 I had a pumpkin de-swelling treatment. On day 7 Dr. Shim and team removed my stitches and bandaged my incisions up to make sure that I am going to heal well as I return home.

Overall impression

V.LIF gave me a great experience. One thing I would highlight is that I still look like myself. I love that the V.LIF team listened to what I want and created a refreshed look I need! Thank you so much Dr. Shim, Bella, Amy, and all the staff that took care of me throughout the process.
